CALL FOR PAPERS
SPECIAL EDITION OF ORBEM MAGAZINE 110TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MEXICAN CONSULATE IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH

The Observatory of the Binational Relationship Mexico-USA, the University of Utah, the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City, and the Diplomatic Historical Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, invite young researchers from all levels of higher education to submit a research work on the binational Mexico-United States relationship.

Topic and temporal delimitation
Within the framework of the 110th anniversary of the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City, Utah, this special issue of ORBEM Magazine seeks to collect outreach works focused on the relevance and history of diplomatic and consular relations between Mexico and the United States. The objective is to encourage research from different perspectives, taking into account the multidisciplinary nature and promoting discussion and academic analysis of the social sciences (law, economics, political science, sociology, international relations, anthropology) and their multiple approaches; among them, national security, culture, foreign policy, trade, human rights, internal politics, gender, etc.

Format
The editorial specifications of the text can be found in the ORBEM Notes and Bibliography Manual, available at the following link: https://n9.cl/wx3pw. The text should have an extension of 8 to 12 pages and should be written in Arial or Times New Roman 12 font, line spacing 1.5, and normal margins.

Submission of the texts
The deadline for the delivery of texts is May 20, 2022. The delivery will be made through the Google Forms form: https://forms.gle/kboZwtLKhfS3sqHe8.

Selection procedure
The editorial team of the Observatory of the Binational Relationship Mexico-USA will be in charge of selecting the texts for publication, reserving the right of opinion. The authors will receive notification of the result once the selection is finished.

Publication
The selected texts will go through a correction process prior to their publication, in communication with the editorial team of the Observatory of the Binational Relationship Mexico-USA. The selected texts will be published in the special edition of ORBEM magazine: 110th Anniversary of the Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City, in August 2022.

CONVOCATORIA JÓVENES INVESTIGADORES

EDICIÓN ESPECIAL DE LA REVISTA ORBEM 110o ANIVERSARIO DEL CONSULADO DE MÉXICO EN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH

El Observatorio de la Relación Binacional México-Estados Unidos, la Universidad de Utah, el Consulado de México en Salt Lake City y el Archivo Histórico Diplomático de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores invitan a los jóvenes investigadores de todos los niveles de educación superior a presentar un trabajo de investigación sobre la relación binacional México-Estados Unidos.

Tema y delimitación temporal

En el marco del 110o aniversario del Consulado de México en Salt Lake City, Utah, este número especial de la Revista ORBEM busca recolectar trabajos de divulgación enfocados en la relevancia e historia de las relaciones diplomáticas y consulares entre México y Estados Unidos. El objetivo es incentivar la realización de investigaciones desde distintas perspectivas, tomando en cuenta el
carácter multidisciplinario y fomentando la discusión y el análisis académico de las ciencias sociales (derecho, economía, ciencia política, sociología, relaciones internacionales, antropología) y sus múltiples enfoques; entre ellos, seguridad nacional, cultura, política exterior, comercio, derechos humanos, política interna, género, etc.

Formato
Las especificaciones editoriales del texto se encuentran en el Manual de notas y bibliografía del ORBEM, disponible en la siguiente liga: https://n9.cl/wx3pw. El texto deberá tener una extensión de 8 a 12 cuartillas y deberá ser elaborado con letra Arial o Times New Roman 12, interlineado 1.5 y márgenes normales.

Entrega de textos
La fecha límite para la entrega de textos es el 20 de mayo del 2022. La entrega se realizará mediante el formulario de Google Forms: https://forms.gle/kboZwtLKhfS3sqHe8.

Proceso de selección
El equipo editorial del Observatorio de la Relación Binacional México-Estados Unidos será el encargado de seleccionar los textos para publicación, reservándose el derecho de dictaminación. Los autores y autoras recibirán notificación del resultado una vez terminada la selección.

Publicación
Los textos seleccionados pasarán por un proceso de corrección previo a su publicación, en comunicación con el equipo editorial del Observatorio de la Relación Binacional México-Estados Unidos. Los textos seleccionados serán publicados en el número especial de la revista ORBEM: 110° Aniversario del Consulado de México en Salt Lake City, en agosto del 2022.
