Housing
Housing on campus:
Our goal is to create a language learning community, so students are strongly encouraged to stay on campus. The program has a hold on a block of apartments (2-4 bedrooms, and a kitchen) for all students. Summer campus housing applications are not yet available but will become available by the beginning of April. Once the Summer Nahuatl application decisions are sent (beginning of April) we will help you through the reservation process. Because we have a hold on a block of apartments, rooms will be available for all participating students wishing to stay on campus AND who complete the application process by May 23, 2025. While the cutoff for reserving housing isMay 23rd students should complete their course registration and finalize their housing reservations as soon as possible in order to secure their preferred apartment and/or roommates. All students MUST complete the payment and registration for the course as well as complete their housing reservation by May 23rd. After this date we can no longer guarantee on campus housing will be available. If you have any concerns about meeting these deadlines or trouble registering and finalizing your housing reservation please contact us as soon as possible.
Approximate costs for on-campus housing will be $1,400 - $1,700 for 6 weeks. (Rates vary depending on the number of bedrooms in the apartment (3-4 bedrooms). Please note this does not include meals. For more on University Housing and meal plans please visit Housing and Residential Education.
Housing off campus:
While we do highly recommend staying in university housing to facilitate your access to resources and to create a learning community you are not required to stay on campus. Students wishing to stay off campus are responsible for finding their own housing and for coordinating their commute to and from campus.
Financial Assistance:
We make every effort to ensure that financial constraints are not an obstacle for participating in the Summer Nahuatl Language program by providing FLAS fellowships and other partial tuition scholarships to students with financial need. Please review our financial assistance page for more information.
